Every year we have the opportunity to take our best of the best grapes and let them stand by themselves, we call this Elevation 1147. Elevation 1147 is always 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and a core percentage comes from the same block each year. The style of this wine is that of no other from David Arthur in that the structure is massive and full palate. The name Elevation 1147 comes from our location high atop Pritchard Hill.

Our 2014 Elevation 1147 has an intensely deep ruby color with a violet rim that offers an immense array of aromas from wild blackberry, cassis, followed by licorice candy, brown sugar notes, cocoa nibs and hints of black tea as well as garrigue of sage-mint. The palate is rich, yet soft and plush offering polished tannins that are broad and chewy carrying into a long finish with flavors of blackberry, dark cherry and light baking spices. Best from 2017 to 2037.
