Vineyards
Our Sangiovese grapes are all estate grown and were originally planted to replace Malbec in our semi-traditional Bordeaux blend, Meritaggio. Because it is a favorite in our family, we usually keep any small amount left over for ourselves. Once in a while there is harvest large enough to allow us to share with Friends.
Fermentation and Aging
Our Sangiovese is fermented in stainless steel tanks and ages in new French oak barrels for 18 months.
Production
150 Cases were produced in 2005.
The 2005 vintage will be released in October of 2007.
